Simple and elegant, these spiraling swirls date back to the pre-Celt La Tene culture and make a lovely bracelet, as shown, or anklet.

'Growing Heart' Celtic Motherhood Tattoo

Recently a mother came in asking for a tattoo to symbolize the love across generations. The initials E and L, for the names of her two children, are woven into the vines that twine through this Celtic symbol for motherhood. The tiny violet is in honor of a child no longer with her, but not forgotten.

The Celtic motherhood hearts are entwined with growing vines, representing the way she loves her connection with her children and how they grow inside her and then beside her. The bond of love expressed in a permanent visual way.

Celtic Shin Guard Tattoo

Today saw the completion of this new Celtic knot work leg wrap tattoo, forming the look of a shin guard known as a greave in medieval armor. It began with one knot, taken from an Irish high cross gravestone, that was then multiplied, interwoven, and morphed to fit the leg.

Celtic 'Generations Knot' Tattoo

Today saw the creation and installation of this custom design. The central "father knot" pattern is surrounded by a looping circle of knotwork, representing for this man the generations of his Irish family who have gone before him and his own children who continue that line.
