Two classic European style dragons coil in and out, and a central element of a knotwork heart ties them together. It can be done in any set of colors or in black and grey. It makes a lace-like effect, covering the skin with a light tracery of knots.

Mysterious Pictish glyphs on the Brandsbutt stone, located in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The carvings date to around 600AD, and represent a crescent and V-rod above a river eel and z-rod.

The Chumash Indians of the Southern California coastal region created some of the most beautiful cave paintings in America, many still well preserved by their remote inaccessibility. This petroglyph silhouette of a California condor graces the ceiling of one such cave near Santa Barbara and makes a strikingly powerful tattoo.

The noble wolf, favorite totem animal of warriors, in a new shield tattoo. An oval ring of Pictish key patterning from the 9th century Maiden Stone in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, surrounds the wolf paw print pattern of my own devising.
