I was contacted by Insider Inc. in New York City, and immensely flattered that they wanted to schedule coming to Santa Barbara and interviewing me. I accepted the opportunity with great enthusiasm, and contacted a dozen of my best clients and asked them to come and pose.

Some were award winning, all are special and important to me, and I was deeply honored that so many of them came long distances to participate.

For one client this was our chance to share a very intimate transformation. Together we spent many months tattooing his arms in Celtic patterns, and making a residual limb an artistic statement that took it from something he had always hidden, an element of loss and shame, and turned it into an artistic statement, an object of fascination and admiration. Then he had his prosthetic arm painted to match, and our long project was finished. He tells his story eloquently in the video.
