Another example of my endless quest to develop ways to use Celtic knotwork to enhance other tattoo designs, this is a short-sleeve pattern that encircles a sith cat pattern by Jen Delyth. Many times over the years people have brought designs by Jen and asked me to replicate them as tattoos, and in this case the client wanted a delicate armband and a frame for the cats. It took quite a bit of figuring to make them all lace together. Designing and installing custom patterns like this is my favorite challenge. Once created, the knotwork design can be used by others to extend and enhance their small tattoos when they are ready to acquire more extensive art.
The Sith Cat is a spectral being known to haunt the highlands of Scotland and bogs of Ireland. They may be Faeries or Witches who can transform themselves into large black cats, but beware! This sleeve cap rings them in, and forms an armband beneath to bind their power to the wearer.
