The Great Seal of the Irish Free State (Irish: Séala Mór do Shaorstát Éireann) was used to seal official documents of the Irish Free State (1922–1937) established as a Dominion under the Anglo-Irish Treaty. This man wears it over his heart, showing his patriotic affection for the land of his ancestors.
