'Scythian Wolf' Tattoo

Today an esteemed returning client came to complete a set of Scythian style animal tattoos. We had previously done a leaping stag on his right leg, and of course he yearned for symmetry. Today we added a pouncing wolf, drawn to mimic the spiral forms and dotting in the stag.

La Tene Waves Anklet Tattoo

This evening a dentist with an eye for precision decided on this ancient La Tene design for a delicate anklet. It flows with the body, tumbles across the tendons, and moves with her as she steps forward.

Celtic 'Phoenix Dragon' Tattoo

A fireman getting close to retirement requested a dragon rising as a phoenix from flames. Last month we began by putting on a Celtic band with flames weaving through and out from it, then in this session today we added a dinosaur style dragon with upraised wings conforming to the shape of his shoulder. A tribute to his years of service, and his intimate knowledge of the power of fire.

'Fox Den' Celtic Tattoo

Today I added color to this oak tree tattoo, and made the fox in her den vivid with the addition of reds and oranges. Often when I do trees it is so important that they are a particular species, especially oaks, that I find myself making outsized leaves to identify them. Here I used dots, and I think the result looks more like light dappling through the canopy.
